Mayor ProTem, Council Member Ward #4

Andrea Hattman was elected to the Rockport City Council in May of 2020. Andrea is honored to serve on the City Council for a city she describes as her happy place! Her personal goal, as Ward 4’s representative, is to do her part to make sure that decisions made at City Council reflect the needs and desires of Ward 4 and benefit the people of Rockport. Above all, Andrea is committed to leading with an open mind and with her constituents at heart.

Andrea will serve as the City’s liaison to the Rockport-Fulton Chamber Board of Directors and the Tourism and Development Council.  She is the alternate liaison to the Rockport Cultural Arts District Board and the Swimming Pool Advisory Committee.

Personal Life

Andrea and her family have lived in Rockport since 2015. She and her husband Karl are raising their children Savannah (15) and Brady (12) in the Rockport Country Club. Both children attend ACISD schools. A native of Minneapolis, Andrea and her husband visited his family in Rockport for years before finally making the decision that it was the right time to move and that Rockport was where they wanted to be. She had a lengthy career in the retail industry, working in jewelry sales, online sales, and studying diamond grading and jewelry. Today Andrea works with her husband at their business, Persona Digital Marketing. In addition to raising a family and growing a business; Andrea and her family enjoy visiting Rockport Beach, dining out at local restaurants, and attending the many local festivals and events with friends.

Community Involvement

Andrea is active in a variety of community groups. She serves as President of the Aransas County Chapter of the United Way, President of The Leadership Aransas County Alumni Group, and as President of the Rockport Fulton Chamber of Commerce Bay Blazers. She is an advocate for stray and abandoned animals and has volunteered as a foster for rescue dogs in need of rehabilitation.
