OUR PLEDGE
To Serve the City of Rockport residents and visitors by providing the highest standard of Parks & Leisure Services, Facilities, and Programs Efficiently, Professionally, and Safely.
WHAT WE DO
We maintain all city parks, community aquatic & skate park, athletic courts and fields, hike & bike trails, playgrounds, picnic sites, restrooms, rental facilities, boat ramps and pier, public beach, 2.6 acre freshwater pond, various city-owned sites, and we provide services to the Downtown Heritage District. We also sponsor serveral run/walks throughtout the year and the Blue Wave Summer Sounds Concerts.
This department manages and operates Rockport Beach and its’ three pavilion meeting facilities. We assist with the management of the Community Aquatic Park, and we administer park concessions and exclusive-use agreements.
Our department presents, and assists in presenting, a variety of community-focused programs and events, while also serving as city liaison to Keep Rockport Beautiful Committee.
