3. Who do I call about a gas leak?

Call 911 and report it.
They will contact necessary personnel to resolve the problem.

4. When will my garbage be picked up?

The City of Rockport has curb side trash pickup through a contract with
Allied Waste Services as follows:

Mondays and Thursday:
Downtown, South Rockport

Tuesdays and Fridays:
Central Rockport, Country Club and Spanish Woods subdivisions

Wednesdays and Saturdays:
Key Allegro, Little Bay Shores and Harbor Oaks subdivision to Traylor Boulevard

5. How do I report a street light problem?

Report the physical address and the pole number to Public Works Office, 361-790-1160. Office hours are 7 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday.

6. What items can I place in the recycle bin?

Newspaper - Bag or tie in bundles.
Do not set out in rain.
No magazines, cereal boxes or cardboard.

#1 & 2 bottles such as soda, mild & juice, butter tubs, dish soap and shampoo - Rinse well, remove & discard lids. it is not necessary to remove labels.
NO poison or antifreeze containers, oil or paint cans, plastic bags or disposable diapers.

Aluminum/steel food & beverage cans - Rinse well. It is not necessary to remove labels.
NO coat hangers, wire, foil, paper & dishes, oil/paint/aerosol cans.

7. How do I request a recycle bin?

Call Allied Waste 1-800-640-2014 and they can deliver a recycle bin to your address.

Occasionally Rockport City Hall, 622 E. Market St. has a small stock of recycle bins.
