The 14th Annual “Tropical Christmas Festival” takes place Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Rockport Festival Grounds by the downtown Rockport Harbor. The event features musical entertainment, children's activities, visits with Santa, shopping opportunities along the harbor and downtown, food, fun, and other festivities.
Featured entertainment is the nationally-known “Cast-in-Bronze,” a crowd favorite - featuring a 4-ton medieval folk instrument with 35 hugh brass bells called a Carillon - and has been featured at the Epcot Center, the NBC “Today” show, a Presidential Inauguration, and at all major Renaissance Festivals across the USA.
The evening ends with lighting of the giant Community Christmas Tree, an illuminated night parade along Rockport Beach Park, and a spectacular fireworks display over Aransas Bay.
